A little help
getting organized.

Start here for the basics of using Topiarly with your ChatGPT conversations.

Getting started

  1. Install Topiarly from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open ChatGPT in Chrome and sign in to your existing account.
  3. Open the Topiarly extension and load your conversations.
  4. Search or filter the list, then select the conversations you want to manage.
  5. Review your selection before archiving, unarchiving or deleting.

How to load conversations

Open ChatGPT in Chrome and sign in. Open Topiarly, then use the load action to populate the conversation list. Wait for loading to finish before choosing chats.

Search and select conversations

Use search to filter the loaded conversations. Select the chats you want to manage, and review the selection before taking action. If you cannot find a chat, check your search and whether it is archived.

Archive and unarchive

Select the conversations you want to keep out of your active list, then choose archive. To bring an archived conversation back, open the archived view, select it, and choose unarchive.

Selective and bulk delete

Select one conversation or a group of conversations, then review which chats are selected before choosing delete. Follow any confirmation shown by the extension. Treat deletion as permanent; archive instead if you want to keep a conversation for later.

If an action’s outcome is unclear, check the chat’s state in ChatGPT before repeating it.

Basic troubleshooting

My conversations are not loading.

Check that you are signed in to ChatGPT and that the page has loaded. Open Topiarly and use its load action. If the issue persists, note what happened and any visible error message.

I cannot find a conversation.

Check your search or filter, and make sure the conversation list has loaded. Check the archived view if the conversation may have been archived.

An action did not appear to finish.

Check the conversation’s state in ChatGPT before repeating an action. Avoid repeating a deletion when you are unsure whether it completed.

Can I recover a deleted conversation?

Treat deletion as permanent. Topiarly does not promise recovery of deleted chats. Review your selection before deleting, and consider archiving chats you want to keep.
