Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy describes how Topiarly — ChatGPT Bulk & Selective Delete handles data when you use the Chrome extension on chatgpt.com.
What Topiarly does
Topiarly provides a panel to search conversation titles, select conversations, delete selected chats, archive active chats, and restore archived chats. It operates using your existing signed-in ChatGPT session.
Information the extension accesses
- Conversation metadata: conversation titles, identifiers, timestamps, and the metadata returned by ChatGPT's conversation-list endpoint. Topiarly displays titles and dates and uses identifiers for your selected actions.
- Authentication information: the access token returned by ChatGPT's session endpoint and your existing session credentials, used to authenticate requests to ChatGPT.
- Account information: the ChatGPT account identifier read from the account cookie, when available, to direct requests to the correct account.
Topiarly does not request individual conversation message bodies. Conversation titles may themselves contain personal information. The extension does not record your browsing history, location, or behavioral analytics.
How information is used and transmitted
Information is used only to provide the conversation-management features described above. The extension retrieves conversation lists from ChatGPT and sends requests to ChatGPT for actions you select. These requests use HTTPS and your existing ChatGPT session.
Topiarly does not send conversation metadata, session tokens, or account identifiers to the developer's servers, analytics services, or advertising services. The developer does not receive or sell this information. ChatGPT processes requests under its own policies.
Storage and retention
The extension keeps its conversation cache, selections, and session token in the memory of the current ChatGPT page. It does not write these data to persistent extension storage. Closing the Topiarly panel does not necessarily clear the in-memory cache; closing or reloading the ChatGPT page clears the extension's page memory. Your conversations remain stored by ChatGPT subject to ChatGPT's own retention practices.
Your choices
You choose which conversations to manage. Topiarly asks for confirmation before deletion. Deletion is presented as irreversible; use archive instead when you want to restore a conversation later. You can stop using the extension or uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling Topiarly does not reverse actions already sent to ChatGPT or delete conversations by itself.
Limited use
Topiarly's use of user data is limited to its disclosed conversation-management features and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is not used for advertising, unrelated profiling, creditworthiness assessment, or lending. The developer does not have access to read your conversations through Topiarly.
This policy page
This page has no forms, advertising, or analytics scripts added by Topiarly. Its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the page.
Changes
This policy will be updated when Topiarly's data-handling practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
